One that understands both structured finance and solar irradiance. That can read a balance sheet and a single-line diagram. That treats a 20 MW rooftop portfolio with the same rigour as a 500 MW utility project.
That’s why we built Evam.

India’s climate targets are ambitious and necessary. The country has committed to 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2070. Achieving these goals requires not just political will, but an enormous mobilisation of private capital into climate infrastructure.
The challenge is that most of this capital needs to flow to a segment of the market that the financial system has historically overlooked.
The largest corporations already have access to banks, development finance institutions, and capital markets. The smallest enterprises can tap into fintechs and microfinance. But between these two extremes lies a vast and vital segment: the mid-sized developers, EPC contractors, fleet operators, and technology companies that are actually building India’s climate infrastructure on the ground.
These companies face a structural gap. Their projects are too complex for fintech underwriting. Their ticket sizes are too small for bank committees. They lack the credit ratings that unlock institutional capital. And the few lenders willing to engage often demand hard collateral that modular, distributed climate assets cannot provide.
This is the gap Evam Finance was built to close.
We are a team of structured finance professionals who have spent our careers at institutions like HSBC, Standard Chartered, Deloitte, Axis Bank, and Piramal Finance — and who have chosen to apply that experience to the most important capital deployment challenge of our generation.
We don’t see climate finance as a niche. We see it as the next great infrastructure financing opportunity — one that requires a purpose-built institution with three capabilities that rarely exist together
We understand the techno-commercial realities of climate infrastructure. We know how solar PPAs are structured, how EV fleet economics work, how cold chain assets generate revenue. This allows us to underwrite projects that balance-sheet lenders cannot evaluate.
We don’t offer standardised loan products. We structure bespoke capital solutions — project finance, supply chain finance, mezzanine, leasing, syndication — matched to the specific cash flow profile and lifecycle stage of each project.
A climate project needs different capital at each stage: advisory at ideation, construction finance during build-out, working capital in operations, growth capital for expansion, and monetisation support at exit. We provide continuity across this entire journey.
Evam Finance Private Limited is registered with the Reserve Bank of India as a Non-Banking Financial Company (Non-deposit taking). We operate within the full regulatory framework prescribed by the RBI, including capital adequacy norms, fair practice code, KYC/AML compliance, and periodic supervisory reporting. Our governance structure includes experienced independent oversight, and we have the strategic support of institutional leaders with deep commitment to transparency and accountability.
